As we head into summer and the PSRI season comes to an end, you may wish to consider starting a ‘Project” with your photography. Project photography is quite different than competition photography, where an image stands on its own compared with others in front of the judge. Project photography strives to create a collection of images that work together to tell a story, express a feeling, document an event, or a place. . . well, you get the idea. It can be anything, and anywhere.
Cemal Ekin, long time PSRI lecturer, workshop leader and overall photography savant, has recently published a post on the question: What Is A Project? Read his short post here, and don’t forget to follow the links to some of his projects. It’s a different way of seeing with photography.
