Our presentation on 17 October 2017 will be Floral Photography, a Different Perspective -(with passion and a “joie de vivre”)
Padma will demonstrate the results of photographing flowers using translucent and transparent techniques on a light box. After showcasing her body of work done with the light box, She will talk about the process of photographing and editing them in light room.
Emigrated from India, Padma Inguva made a home in New Jersey for the last 25 years. She inherited the love of gardening from her father; she made a humongous garden and spent many hours in the spring taking care of the plants. Hiking was another hobby she developed over the years and photography followed as a natural progression as a way to capture these experiences and making them permanent. Her first photography workshop was at Longwood Gardens and flowers became her favorite subject. After all these years into photography and frantically practicing to get better every day, Padma is expanding her skills to include mentoring in flower, architectural and travel photography.
Our meeting on 24 October will be a hands on session using the techniques shown in Padma’s presentation. We will have several light box setups available. Bring your camera gear and make some images.
