Meetups
Our Meetups committee members will discuss our scheduled meetups and solicit your recommendations for additional photographic locations/opportunities to meet.
Printing Options and Low-cost Printing
We will have examples of several ways to share your printed images; books, metal prints, folios, One of the impediments to enter print competitions is the cost of printing. We will discuss low-cost options, and have samples of prints of the prints for comparison with the same image hand printed on an Epson printer.
Print Mounting
We will demonstrate the print mounting process that our experience print competitors use. We will also demonstrate how to disassemble a matted print to reuse the mat for a different print, further reducing the cost of print competition. We will have a sign up sheet to order pre-cut mats and foam boards to take advantage of bulk purchase..
Photography Basics
Experienced members will be available to answer your questions about cameras and lenses. Our members use a variety of camera brands. If someone at the Photography Basics table is not familiar with your camera brand, someone in the room likely will have that expertise. We have mentors for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus and Fuji.
Giving Back to the Community
Our program, Giving Back, supports non-profits with photography of their events or operations. We can discuss what we have done in the past. If you have an idea of an organization that may need these free services, we can discuss this also. Read more about our Giving Back activities here.
