Life is full of remarkable experiences, unique people, beautiful things, the delightful and the bizarre; all of these can present as wondrous indeed.
JUROR | PHILLIP TOLEDANO
Phillip Toledano was born in London to a French Moroccan, and an American father and is currently living and working in New York city. He believes that photographs should be like unfinished sentences. there should always be space for questions. Phillip’s work is socio-political, and varies in medium, from photography to installation.
Mr. Toledano has four (going on five) monographs published on his artistic practice. His work has appeared in Vanity Fair, The New York Times magazine, The New Yorker, Esquire, GQ, Wallpaper, The London Times, The Independent Magazine, Le Monde and Interview amongst others.

Exhibiting artists are invited to the reception and complementary portfolio reviews by both Hamidah Glasgow and Phil Toledano. The Center also provides a special lunch for the artists on Saturday as well as the opportunity to participate in a group portfolio share.

THEME| Portfolio ShowCase Volume 7
There is no theme for this exhibition. The images will be evaluated as a cohesive body of work, rather than individual images. Fifteen photographers will be chosen to display their twelve-image portfolios in the Center’s Portfolio ShowCase Volume 7 book, Group gallery exhibition, and online exhibition.

Alexa Becker holds an MA in art history and is the acquisitions editor for photography and art books for Kehrer Verlag, in Heidelberg, Germany.
Awards|
Solo Exhibition Award: One artist will be chosen for a solo exhibition at the Center for Fine Art Photography.
Portfolio ShowCase Group Exhibition: The Center will exhibit prints from the selected artists in conjunction with the book launch.
Juror’s Selection: The juror will select one portfolio to be the first presented in the book and will select an image from the portfolio to be the book cover.

PPANE is a non-profit organization serving photographers of New England, and is affiliated with the Professional Photographers of America.

Scholarship Deadlines
All scholarship winners must sign up for NEIPP no later than November 1. After Nov 1, the scholarship will go to the 1st alternate.
First alternates must sign up no later than December 15, 2013; after that date, the scholarships go to the 2nd alternates.
All unclaimed scholarships become null and void after January 15.
All PPANE scholarships are useable for a full week or two 2 day courses.

The Francis & Ann Sullivan Scholarship
Francis “Sully” and Ann were two of the founders of NEIPP and guided our school for nearly 30 years. Their devotion to its students still guides those who continue to keep NEIPP alive. Their scholarship will allow aspiring photographers to attend NEIPP at no cost. The number of scholarships available is dependent upon income to the scholarship fund.

The Len Levy NEIPP Scholarship
This scholarship has been created to honor a long time instructor and strong supporter of The New England Institute of Professional Photography (NEIPP), To recognize Len’s devotion to our industry, The Professional Photographers Association of New England (PPANE) and the NEIPP Board will award one $500 scholarship per year to an aspiring photographer to attend NEIPP.
