The Merrimack Valley Camera Club hosted the 39th annual George W. Glennie Nature Salon on April 18th 2020. This premier international all-nature club competition draws more than 60 club entries of up to ten images each. The competition is judged in a wide range of categories including animals, birds, botany and landscape, with these broad categories further divided into many specific categories. One third of the images submitted each year are invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, or marine & freshwater life.
PSRI is a long time participant of the Glennie Nature Salon, and this year we placed 14 out of 68 entrants, with only 12 points separating our total score of 244 with the winning score of 256. There were entries from 46 US clubs and 22 from foreign camera clubs for a total of 675 images. The judges were Shawn Carey, Rick Cloran and Judy Hoyt.

Congratulations to all!!
To earn an award at the Glennie is an accomplishment worthy of recognition. The Glennie continues each year with strong competition. There certainly are some outstanding photographers within the United States and Internationally.
Due to current Covid19 conditions there may be a delay in receiving awards.
More details and the slide show will eventually be posted on the Glennie Facebook page and/or the Merrimack Valley Camera Club website.
