As you may have noticed, when you first arrive at the PSRI web site one of the first things that you see is a slideshow of photographs. Makes sense, right? A photo club should show photographs on their website, and they should be photographs made by the members of the club. And that is exactly what we are doing, and we would love to have all of you participating!
Participation is very easy, and it doesn’t even cost you any money! If you are a member of PSRI then you can simply add your images to PSRI groups pool on Flickr. Flickr is a tremendously popular image sharing website that allows users to participate in groups. PSRI has a group on Flickr that you can join, and once you have joined you can add any of your images to our pool of images. It is from this pool of photos that the PSRI website selects images to display on the website. Simple and easy right?
You say that you don’t know how to join Flickr? It is free and simple to do. PSRI’s very own Leslie Jean has created two great videos that you can use to help get you signed up to Flickr and sharing photos with us all!
Video 1: This tutorial covers signing up, logging in, some basic pages, and uploading a photo.
Video 2: Creating sets and joining a group on Flickr
I hope that you will decide to share some images with us, and that these videos will help you get started!
