William H Majoros, a computer scientist at Duke University, is a talented photographer with a passion for bird photography. He is also a prolific writer who has produced an online manual “Secrets of Digital Bird Photography Tools and Techniques.” This 900 page tome not only covers the techniques of bird photography, but includes many technical descriptions of how cameras function, such as autofocus and ISO. The book covers everything from gear selection to post processing to sharing your photos, and is easy to get to a topic of interest via the extensive table of contents.
