We have been viewing photographs coming from the PSRI flickr group pool, thank you all who have joined flicker and PSRI and shared photographs with the PSRI pool. It will be nice if we had a greater participation, so I encourage all to consider joining flickr and the PSRI group there. Afterwards you can share some or all of your photographs with the PSRI pool.
The process that provides the slide show uses a plugin on our site that looks at the group pool with a particular tag that I assign. Then the plugin adds those photographs to the slide show and we see it as the work of our members. One thing that will improve the presentation is the image captions and the photographer identification. I posted a note on the flickr group but it seems it escaped everyone’s attention. Soon, I will include ONLY those photographs that have a title and the photographer identified in parentheses like this:
Calla Study (A. Cemal Ekin)
Some users include their name on the photograph as watermarking, but it will be a much better presentation if we all used the same format. So, fair warning, in a little while, say a week or so, I will start removing those photographs that do not have the above mentioned information. Some images may be dropped anyway to allow equal time to all participants. Now, let’s get going and put on a slide show for all to see what kind of photography PSRI members are creating.
By the way, let me know if you have ideas to improve the process and the presentation, post your comments here instead of sending an e-mail so others can participate as well.
