The following is a message from our president Dennis Gignac
Dear Friends:

It is with my deepest regret and sorrow that I must inform you of the passing of Al Warhurst. Al and his loving wife Margaret have been members of RSRI for many many years and have contributed so much. Al will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves a great legacy in our club through his images and will be remembered with respect and admiration most notably as a very friendly and helpful mentor to others in our club. Myself included…
Someone once said that in our lifetime, if you are lucky enough to have a true friend, you have been blessed. For me Al was one such friend. When I first joined PSRI, I met Al and soon learned that he truly loved the art of photography and he knew his stuff. He taught me, and many others in the club a lot about photography. Al was the kind of person who was always there when called upon and was ready and willing to share his vast knowledge about photography when asked.
Both Al and Margaret have been an active part of our lives here at PSRI for many years, and their participation and involvement in our club events have touched and brightened all our lives. Al will live in our hearts and memories along with the many wonderful people that have gone before us.
See you on the other side my friend…
Always friendly, sincere, helpful, humble, passionate about his photography, and generous in sharing it. Al will be so missed. Nevertheless, Al is now in a beautiful place in the loving care of the Almighty One. May this knowledge comfort Margaret and his family, and PSRI.
